In the Spring of 2024, the Fielder Butterfly Garden was born. A collaborative effort between Fielder PTA & a campus grant team, made this dream a reality. With over $7k of PTA funds + another $5K from the Katy ISD Education Foundation we were able to create a beautiful space to read, connect, and explore.
With over 20 varieties of plants, our small habitat has welcomed Monarch Butterflies, Swallowtails, Texas Toads, Bumble bees, Honey bees, dragonflies, and more!
The garden requires year-round tending, and we are looking for community support to help make that happen. We welcome parents, neighborhood members, scouting groups, teens needing service hours and more! The primary tasks are weeding and watering. Throughout the year, we will have special projects that require additional help.
